Bombers Complete 2018 SeasonBryan/College Station, TX – August 8, 2018 – It was an electric atmosphere at Travis Field as the Bombers were unable to hold on, falling 3-2 to the Acadiana Cane Cutters. It was a tough end to a season that made so many memories for fans, players, and coaches but the team experienced support until the final out was recorded. The Bombers trailed early, as Acadiana scored a run in the 2nd inning to take the 1-0 lead. The Bombers would show the resilience they have all season, as they tied the game in the fourth inning. Cam Blake scored the tying run after being driven in by Bombers first baseman Robin Adames. The Bombers then took the lead in the 6th inning as Robin Adames picked up his second RBI of the game, on a double to give the Bombers the 2-1 lead. Unfortunately, the Cane Cutters would come back in the 9th inning with a pair of runs to earn the victory and advance. “Everything we have been able to accomplish the past five years, and this season, could not have been done without the support of our fans. While tonight did not have the result we were looking for, the crowd was the loudest of the season and we created numerous memories of a lifetime this season on and off the field,” said Bombers owner Uri Geva.
